The best things in life are free!!

Recently had a friendly debate with a couple of friends about having a wedding planner. I was totally out-numbered as they insisted that the wedding planner does everything for you the way you want it to be. So in the end, you will still get the wedding customised to your whims and fancy. It will still be unique. Yes, true... customised but not personalised.

Somehow for me, it gives me a totally different feeling if some stranger were to execute my wedding plans for me. Customisation is NOT personalisation!!

Customisation can be done as impersonally as possible but personalisation can only be done by someone close to you, someone who would be emotionally involved in the process.

More often than not, customisation are done by professionals and the results are far better. Personalisation is less perfect, but it comes from the heart. But it's the little flaws that makes it more human, closer to the heart.

I guess there are 2 types of people in this world, those who want the finer things in life. Which is perfectly fine, you deserve what you want.
The other type believes that the best things in life are free!!
I am definitely the latter. What I value may not be valued by others. Like beauty, value is also in the eyes of the beholder.

Some examples:

I think you get the picture...

Maybe that's why I've never dated a rich bloke, don't think they will understand me. Or perhaps it's because I'm just dead broke and can't afford to taste the finer things in life eh? Er, but I just came home from an English Afternoon Tea and Dinner at the Carcosa. I would much rather be having Char Koay Teow fried by my baby at our new home. Guess my value scale is just not the same as the world's. I am just different, so friends... just accept it ok? I have nothing against all of your kind advice, thanx but I am just different. I may be stressed out now but I will survive this.

I'm repeating myself: The idiot who splurged RM40k to propose via billboard makes us mortal men miserable.

And what really matters is the sincerity of the heart, even if it's a poorly, cheap, amateurish video proposal!

Money DOESN'T BUY you happiness, it just adds the value of happiness. Period.

Oh well, i'd rather get a house with my love one with RM40k, anytime!
