2nd crummy welcome back

I wanted to take leave today as I was very tired from my Cambodia trip but my boss wouldn't let me as there was suppose to be a meeting today.

Mana tau... the meeting was cancelled and I am still at work the whole full day with my under-sleep panda eyes and all.

So I asked my boss if I could get a day off tomorrow to rest, take one day to replace those weekends and public holidays that I have worked... which is quite many already that I have lost count.

You know what she said? She said I should not be claiming for working weekends and public holidays as there is no policy that says that we are in any way reimbursed for working on days off. I should not be so calculative. She said that if she were to claim, hers would be soooooooooooooooooooooooo many days yet she does not claim.

What the ****????? All those days off burnt just like that? She's very hard-working, no doubt about it. A pure workaholic who'd live and die for the company. Yeah, she's no doubt an asset to the company. She's even a pretty nice boss...

Only thing is that, I'm NOT her! I'm NOT a workaholic! I work to live NOT live to work! I work to earn the means to have a life. As much as I enjoy my work, I value my personal life a lot more.

In the end, she did give me tomorrow off but I guess I can say goodbye to claiming any more of those replacement days off. :-(
